Helpful excercise #1:

On a sheet of paper make two columns.
Title one column; ‘mother’,
and the second one; ‘father’.
Begin by listing all the virtues,
 strengths, talents, values,
passions etc. for each parent, or parental figure,
in their respective columns.
Use only complimentary descriptions
(forgiving the negative).
Next write your name in the center
and draw lines connecting each of their qualities,
 that you see in yourself, to your name.
Notice their differences, similarities
and uniqueness.Also, note how you are a
combination of almost all of their character traits.
 Now, using your intuition,
scan down each column and choose
the strongest quality that you feel you’ve
 inherited from each of them. Write these
 two character traits under your name in the center.
 Finally, use these two qualities to make
 connections with your current passions,
 talents, ideas, and strengths.
Ask yourself questions like;
 “How could I incorporate these traits into my work?”,
“How could I include the essence of
these qualities in some aspect of my life?”,
“How could I do what I love while
honoring these inherited strengths?”

Excercise#2:

Before falling asleep each night, ask;

'' What is the next step in my life's path? "
